This is the part that I LOVE about holiday weekends – short work weeks! It’s already Wednesday already!! Woohoo!!!
Please tell me I’m not the only one who loves a short work week. Come on!
I have to admit, my post-holiday Tuesday wasn’t exactly the greatest. Getting up early was quite painful, I spent most of the day dealing with computer issues, and almost had a major dinner hiccup. But you know, those days just happen. You just have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps (<—1895 called and wants its catchphrase back) and keep going.
In fact, when I have a bad day, I always try and remember a quote from one of my FAVORITE childhood books of all time: Anne of Green Gables.
It doesn’t always get rid of my grumpiness, but it definitely puts things into perspective!
Anyway, despite my bad Tuesday, it is Wednesday now (and so far Wednesday is going MUCH better!) and we all know what that means!

The usual. Cereal (this time it was a mix of natural “frosted mini wheats” and oatmeal squares) topped with frozen fruit. Although, dare I say that I may be ready to move on to a new breakfast item? We’ll see how things go, but I honestly was just kind of over this breakfast this morning. Tomorrow is a new day, people!

Ok, I realize it doesn’t look appetizing at all, but I swear it was delicious. Leftover tortellini bake from last week, and an apple. Simple and delicious.
Finally found my favorite pomegranate chobani at the store! They’ve been out EVERY TIME I’ve gone! It’s been so frustrating! So I stocked up hardcore, because I’m pretty sure this is both Chris’ and my favorite flavor. Had to make sure we wouldn’t fight over it by buying a ton!
I originally had other plans for dinner, until I got ready to make it and realized that it needed to chill for at least an hour (if not overnight). Well crap. Leftovers to the rescue! We had more of the tortilla soup I made yesterday in the crock pot, topped with some cheese and tortilla chips.
A cookie may or may not have found it’s way into my stomach. But there is no picture to prove it, so I guess it will never be known…
Things have been a bit crazy at work lately, so I haven’t been able to go to the gym during my lunch hour, like normal. Which means instead I’ve been having to squeak in extra time after work which has thrown off my schedule a little bit. Not the end of the world, but has definitely made evenings in our house a little more stressful.
Today I did 20 minutes of intervals on the elliptical, and then threw together an arm and abs circuit that kind of rocked! Normally I’m pretty bad at putting together workouts (I’m such a “plan” person), but this one actually worked out pretty well! I even wrote it down, so I will be sure to share it with you all later this week!
