I don’t have too much to say this morning, because I ended up not getting a lot of sleep last night and am kind of walking around like a zombie this morning.
And I mean that literally. I keep bumping into stuff and whacking my head/elbow/toe/etc on things! I swear, when I’m tired, my already limited coordination goes right out the window.
We ended up getting back home pretty late last night (are you seeing a trend here??? I really need to get this bedtime thing under control) because we were out saying goodbye to our good friends who are leaving us on Friday to move halfway around the world.
I know I’ve talked about them a lot lately, but it’s because I’m really, REALLY sad to see them go. Chris and I only met Brittany and Casey a few months ago through the bible study at our church, and yet in that short time they’ve become very good friends of ours. We’ve been hanging out with them pretty much non-stop the past few weeks (going to the lake on multiple occasions, bowling, dinner, girls night, etc).
Last night was no exception. As their final goodbye, Brittany and I went on a 2 mile run while chatting about life, and then we headed out to dinner with a whole bunch of friends.
But not before a got a little snuggle time with one of their dogs! Look at those EYES!!!!
Of course a major photoshoot was needed to document their last days here!
I don’t have too much to say this morning, because my heart is very heavy at the thought of them leaving. It’s so hard to say goodbye to the wonderful people in your life. But I know that they are going on to bigger, better and more amazing adventures, and I wish them the absolute best of luck in the future.
So tell me: Do your friends live close by or far away? How do you do with goodbyes?
I feel like after college most of my friends ended up dispersing all over the US. But these are probably the first friends that I’ve had “as an adult” that are moving super far away!
